The apartment had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. It was conveniently located and within easy reach of all transportation options. Plus, there were some fantastic local restaurants just a short walk away. We loved the fact that there was a grocery store and tram/bus stop just two minutes away from the apartment. The caretaker and people in the area were also very helpful and welcoming. They even had wine, chocolates, and pastries waiting for us! it was great value for money.

There were a few downsides to our stay. the language barrier was a bit of an issue as the caretaker couldn't speak English and I don't understand Portuguese.

It's located on a quiet street, just a stone's throw away from the bus stop and within walking distance of Belém. Parking was also easy to find nearby.

Renovation made me feel like I was in a cozy home. Close to St George's Castle and Dona Maria II National Theatre, so I felt like a cultured traveler. Free wifi and close to the airport.

Just loved the cockroach surprise in my room, added that extra touch of adventure to my stay.

I recently stayed at Apartamento Embaixador Mateus for a week-long vacation. The cozy and comfortable apartment had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The location was excellent, close to popular attractions like Torre de Belem and Moisteiro dos Jeronimos. The surrounding area had a supermarket just across the street, which was very convenient. But the highlight of my stay was Mrs. Fatima, the wonderful and helpful host. She provided a warm welcome and gave me great recommendations for restaurants, public transportation, and more. The apartment is located in the old buildings of the city, in the center of Belém. It is very close to popular tourist spots such as Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Public transportation to Lisbon downtown is easily accessible, making it convenient to explore the city.

The parking situation is not ideal, as the closest parking spot is around 300-500 meters away, which can be inconvenient for those with physical handicaps.
